Girls'Day 2026 at BIBA – Hands-on Technology

April 23, 2026, BIBA, Bremen

Image: Aleksandra Himstedt

BIBA is participating in Girls'Day again this year. Female students are invited to gain exciting insights into the world of technology and research. This allows them to become interested in studying science or technology. Low-threshold hands-on tasks allow participants to experience technology up close. They can also get creative themselves.

The Mycelium Workshop focuses on mycelium composites. Students learn what this sustainable material is and how versatile it can be - for example, by building their own candle holders. In addition, our hackspace in the BIBA Shopfloor Lab opens its doors. From product design for 3D printing to the precise manufacture of small parts with a laser cutter to personalized giveaways: here, students can develop their own ideas and implement them immediately.
