The Cellular Conveyor (celluveyor), developed in BIBA, is a unique modular conveying and positioning system. It consists of several small hexagonal conveying cells, each with three individually driven omnidirectional wheels. Through individual control of the wheels, objects can be freely conveyed in all directions and orientations. This opens unlimited possibilities for creating new material handling concepts or enhancing the classic ones.

The celluveyor was awarded the “DHL Innovation Award – Shark Tank” in 2016 and was successfully pilot tested at a DHL warehouse in Braunschweig, Germany.
