On May 6, 2025, Christoph Petzoldt from BIBA was invited to give a guest lecture at the Ostfalia - University of Applied Sciences in Wolfenbüttel. In the lecture “From rigid processes to flexible cooperation: How robots learn to work with us”, he presented a method for the dynamic distribution of tasks in human-robot collaboration, which can be used to make assembly processes more efficient and at the same time more human-friendly. Christoph also gave an overview of BIBA's current research activities on human-technology and human-robot interaction in production and logistics processes.
The presentation was followed by a tour of the robot systems and laboratories at Ostfalia's Human-Centered Engineering Hub. This resulted in valuable discussions on research approaches and future fields of cooperation. The event and the discussions highlighted the potential that innovative developments in human-technology interaction and human-centered automation offer for the creation of flexible, future-oriented jobs.
