As a partner of the Mittelstand 4.0-Kompetenzzentrum Bremen, BIBA held a workshop on the topic of augmented and virtual reality together with the company G&M Automation GmbH from Ganderkesee on October 26. Due to the extensive and intuitive application possibilities, these technologies offer great potentials, for example, in error prevention in assembly and maintenance, and have thus moved into the focus of the enterprise. In the workshop, employees of G&M Automation experienced the possibilities of these technologies by using the demonstrators presented. Furthermore, a selection of potential applications adapted to the needs of the company was identified. In the next step, measures for the introduction of AR/VR technologies into the company's business will be developed.
