In a joint event with the Mittelstand-Digital Zentren Bremen-Oldenburg and WertNetzWerke, BIBA invited participants to its BIBA Shop Floor Lab on the occasion of Supply Chain Day on April 10, 2025 to focus on the latest trends in the industry. This year's major event, which was attended by 120 interested participants, focused on the two future topics of artificial intelligence and the circular economy.
Expert presentations highlighted the potential that lies in the intelligent use of data, the interoperability of systems and the targeted use of artificial intelligence - both in intralogistics and in the procurement of medium-sized companies. The new insights showed how digital technologies can already contribute to increasing efficiency and implementing circular value creation. Afterwards, an interactive expo offered the opportunity to experience various technological solutions live: from AR-supported assistance systems and energy self-sufficient production scenarios to digital tools for greater transparency regarding the sustainability of supply chains. The subsequent networking event focused on professional exchange and getting to know each other personally, while the energy self-sufficient pizza production, including tasting, provided a culinary delight.
We would like to thank all participants, our co-organizing digital centers and our cooperation partners: Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Hamburg, the Bremen Research Cluster for Dynamics in Logistics (LogDynamics), the German Association of Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BME) and the Umwelt Unternehmen Office.
