DHL – Robotic Challenge finalist: LaMA – Last Mile Assistant Robot
20.10.2016
LaMA is a heavy duty self-driven robotic platform for last-mile assistance, which relieves the delivery person of the stressful task of carrying the parcels. The concept combines intelligent vision technology with a new traction concept ideal for moving outdoor on various urban surfaces. LaMA was fully developed by students at the Bremen Institute for Production and Logistics (BIBA) at the University of Bremen. Students with mechanical, electrical, informatics and mathematical background participated in the different development areas.
