From October 22 to 24, 2025, BIBA is represented at the LogDynamics research network's booth at BVL Supply Chain CX in Berlin. The focus is on digitalization and the use of AI in logistics and ports. As an example, we will be showing a demonstrator from the joint projects with Aimpulse Intelligent Systems and bremenports: an innovative, AI-based assistance system to support ship docking maneuvers in ports. The model is a digital replica of a real test field in Bremerhaven and was developed in the Port2Connect project.

We are particularly proud of our long-standing collaboration with Aimpulse Intelligent Systems and our shared history with LogDynamics: Aimpulse Managing Director Dr. Arne Schuldt received his doctorate in LogDynamics in 2010 with a thesis on self-driving logistics and was awarded the BVL Science Prize for Logistics in the same year. Motivated by this award, he founded the AI spin-off together with Dr. Jan D. Gehrke in 2012. To this day, Aimpulse continues to collaborate with BIBA and the University of Bremen on numerous projects related to digitalization and AI.
