The Germany-wide Girls' Day is always an opportunity to give schoolgirls an insight into the world of engineering and to encourage them to study a technical subject. On 3 April 2025, BIBA once again took part with low-threshold hands-on activities and showed how exciting technology can be.

In our hackspace in the BIBA research hall, the schoolgirls learned about product design for 3D printing and the laser cutter so that they could use their newly acquired knowledge to independently create personalised giveaways. In another workshop, the girls used no-code programming to control small robotic vehicles and gave them logistical tasks.

The young participants were enthusiastic about the adventure of technology: They praised the freedom for creativity, the exchange within the team and were delighted with the souvenirs they had made themselves.
