Human-robot interaction: collaboration between employees and autonomous mobile robots

Picture: BIBA
Innovative systems were developed as part of the MEXOT research project with the aim of implementing various forms of cooperation between employees and autonomous mobile robots. These include smartphone-integrated QR code recognition to request driverless transport systems (AGVs) when required. The transport system can be called to the target position using body gestures thanks to camera-based gesture recognition using skeleton tracking. MEXOT aims at intelligent work ergonomics by integrating sensory exoskeletons and autonomous transportation systems to improve advanced human-technology interaction in automotive handling. This video demonstrates how these systems work.
