Exoskeleton with sensor technology and gamification: reward system for ergonomic work
Picture: BIBA
With the aim of improving ergonomic working methods in warehouse logistics, BIBA has developed a sensor system that can be integrated into exoskeletons in combination with a gamification app. The basic idea is to encourage ergonomic behavior through rewards. The exoskeleton is equipped with several sensors that can recognize and evaluate the movements of the person wearing it. The movement data can be viewed directly in a smartphone app together with the ergonomic assessments. Ergonomic working is rewarded by the app as users collect points that can be redeemed for real rewards such as snacks or drinks. This video demonstrates how the system works.
