BIBA was a partner of the KEDi Roadshow in Bremen with the motto ‘Efficient | Digital | Feasible’. On 9 September 2025, the focus was on the topic ‘From meter reading to algorithms – using digital tools to achieve greater energy efficiency in companies!’ Lectures, workshops and demonstrations showed how digital technologies can increase the efficiency of production processes – from networked meters and software-supported energy management to the use of AI, for example for predictive maintenance.

BIBA and the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Bremen-Oldenburg contributed to the discussion with two keynote speeches: Markus Trapp highlighted measures for energy-flexible production, and Dr Alexandra Pehlken from our partner OFFIS showed how resource requirements can be optimised through digitalisation. As part of the accompanying exhibition, BIBA and the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Bremen-Oldenburg presented a demonstrator from the ecoKI project on the use of artificial intelligence for greater energy efficiency in manufacturing.
