Partnership
The OnTour consortium consists of 7 partners and 3 associated partners from 5 European countries. Each member is uniquely placed to exploit the results of the OnTour project to the overall extent from differing yet complementary perspective. The industrial users such as Moser Reisen, Global Tour Media and Zeus of Crete are acting in a highly dynamic travel market and are faced with the above problem situation. The software and consultancy company DATI brings in their specific expertise in software development. They will be assisted by BIBA and ICS-Forth as research organisations with experiences in the field of Inter- and Intranet-Technologies. While the role of the latter comprises the dissemination of the project results within publications, books and presentations, the involved software house will commercialise the system for European market. MIG as a consultancy company is coordinator of the OnTour project.

ICS-Forth

The Institute of Computer Science (ICS) is one of seven research institutes constituting the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH), which is a center for research and development monitored by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Technology (General Secretariat of Research and Technology) of the Greek Government. Current R&D activities focus on information systems, software engineering, parallel architectures and distributed systems, computer vision and robotics, digital communications, network management, machine learning, decision support systems, formal methods in concurrent systems, computer architectures and VLSI design, computer aided design, medical information systems, health telematics services, assistive technology, and human-computer interaction. ICS-FORTH also participates in R&D activities which emphasize the development of IT&T infrastructure in a number of domains of National and Regional interest and importance including Health Care & Rehabilitation, Cultural Heritage and Computer Networking. At the regional level, ICS-FORTH is contributing to developments in the context of international collaborative activities and, in particular programmes addressing the South-East Mediterranean area and collaborates closely with local authorities and other organisations. |
