Daniel Rippel

Research Scientist in the division Data Analytics and Process Optimization of the Bremer Institut für Produktion und Logistik GmbH an der Universität Bremen (BIBA).

Curriculum Vitae

Mr. Rippel studied computer sciences at the University of Bremen. He focused on the areas of artificial intelligence, cognitive systems as well as soft computing. During his diploma thesis at the Collaborative Research Center: Cognitive Systems (TR/8) he dealt with an analysis of measures of uncertainty for the Dempster-Shafer evidence theory.

Mr. Rippel is a research scientist at the BIBA - Bremer Institut für Produktion und Logistik GmbH since January 2009.

Activities

Mr.Rippel works at the subproject B2 "Adaptive Business Processes – Modeling and Methodology" of the Collaborative Research Center 637. The CRC is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and investigates the possibilities and limitations of autonomous control in logistics.

In addition, Mr. Rippel works at the project CONVERGE. The project is funded by the 7th frame program of the European Commission and investigates possibilities to support the interoperability in non hierarchical supply networks on tactical and strategic levels of decision making.
