On January 15, 2026, the project partners of the six idea sketches selected for funding by the Bremen DATIpilot innovation community “Smartport Transfer” (SPorT) met with the already ongoing starter projects SharePort and MobiTrans. The aim of the meeting was to get to know the projects and stakeholders, discover synergies, and jointly shape the ports of tomorrow. In a lively, moderated exchange, starting points for cross-project collaboration were discussed – an exciting start that opens doors for innovative cooperation.

The SPorT innovation community brings science and industry together to advance the ports of Bremen through digitalization and automation. Coordinated by the LogDynamics research cluster at the University of Bremen, the Institute of Shipping Economics and Logistics (ISL), and bremenports, SPorT promotes innovative solutions for optimizing port processes and networking ship and hinterland transport.

The event was a complete success! The new contacts made will be directly incorporated into further project work and form the basis for strong, future-oriented cooperation in the SPorT community.
