On December 8, BIBA welcomed guests from Fraunhofer IOSB-INA Lemgo and CIIT e. V. They were accompanied by BIBA's cooperation partners Digital Hub Industry and the AI Transfer Center. The aim of the visit was to explore opportunities for collaboration. The focus was on smart manufacturing, automation, and energy efficiency.

During the tour of the BIBA research hall and the presentation of BIBA's research topics, three demo islands were presented: energy-efficient production (IdEaLMF), autonomous driving in ports (AutoLog), and collaborative robotics (La2Mo2). In addition, a compact overview of BIBA's expertise in production and logistics research was provided, with a focus on processes, products, and their entire life cycle. BIBA's activities as a partner of the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Bremen-Oldenburg (Bremen-Oldenburg Digital SME Center) and the support services it offers to SMEs were also presented.
