We look back on two inspiring days at the “5 Years of the Mittelstand-Digital Network” meeting in Bremen. The Mittelstand-Digital Center Bremen-Oldenburg, in which BIBA serves as a partner, hosted the event on June 1 and 2, 2026, at the DIGITAL HUB INDUSTRY Bremen.

The focus was on consolidating experiences, sustaining the network, and taking concrete steps for the continued use of demonstrators, tools, and expertise—from the sector map to the planned alumni network for Mittelstand-Digital by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the European Digital Innovation Hubs Network.

BIBA played an active role in organizing the network meeting, moderated the demonstrator memory game, and hosted the evening event. The sociable evening in our research hall captured the spirit of the network. The highlights were:

• Demonstrator presentations, including an encounter with a humanoid robot
• An entertaining quiz with prizes
• Music and networking late into the evening.

At the Mittelstand-Digital Center Bremen-Oldenburg, we look forward to sharing the wealth of knowledge we have gained and continuing our collaboration within the network to benefit SMEs.
