Fall Internship at BIBA

As part of their fall internship at the Bremen Technology Park, four high school students had the opportunity to work at BIBA for a week and, under the supervision of Birte Pupkes, gain insights into our research and scientific work.
The focus was on developing and manufacturing their own product from mycelium composite material-an innovative, sustainable material made from waste materials and fungal mycelium. Other topics the interns gained insight into included human-robot collaboration and assistance systems based on AR/VR technologies. The students found the opportunity to try on and test exoskeletons particularly exciting.
We are delighted to inspire young talent for research and sustainable technologies and would like to thank the students for their commitment and curiosity. Here's to many more creative projects!
