Cobots, AI, and the Future of Production – A Look Back at “Digitalization at Noon”

In an entertaining presentation with practical examples, we showed how cobots are already creating added value in manufacturing and logistics today: simple decision-making rules help to quickly assess whether a cobot is economically and technically suitable, and specific use cases highlight the potential for productivity and resource savings.
Key messages:
• Cobots can increase the competitiveness and flexibility of SMEs.
• Low-cost/low-code approaches reduce barriers to entry.
• Practical examples and decision checklists provide a quick feasibility assessment.
Outlook: Artificial intelligence and autonomy will make cobots increasingly “intelligent.” The combination of analytical and generative AI (known as “agentic AI”), stronger IT/OT networking, and integrated data rooms are opening up new fields of application—at the same time, requirements for security, data protection, and risk management are increasing.
