Our Focal Points
The digitalization of your company can encompass a wide variety of areas. We focus on the most important topics and work with you to identify specific potential.
At the heart of the considerations is always the question: What would we like to improve? The answer almost always involves a digital element, such as software or an Internet offer. Sometimes the solution even leads to a completely new digital business model.
From the private sphere, digital platforms are already established as a means of communication and shopping. This trend is continuing in many industries, the advantage being that platforms use network effects and often make customer acquisition cheaper. Assistance systems that support people at work or in everyday life also hold great promise for the future.
Once the goal has been defined, the question of the appropriate technology comes into focus. Cloud applications, i.e., the relocation of data and processes to the online world in order to overcome spatial and temporal restrictions, offer particularly extensive possibilities for use. Artificial intelligence (AI) has also received less attention so far, although experts believe the technology will be crucial for future competitiveness.
Digital work - "New Work" offers the opportunity to increase our quality of life, it summarizes the change of work as a new, more flexible form with immediate impact on business processes. Last but not least, digitization offers great potential for increasing the sustainability of your company: social, ecological and economic considerations can be more easily linked.
Mittelstand-Digital informs SMEs about the opportunities and challenges of digitization. The supported Competence Centers help with expert knowledge, demonstration centers, best-practice examples as well as networks, which serve the exchange of experience. The Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy enables the free use of all offers from Mittelstand-Digital.
